Wii

Filed under: Life — Scott @ 7:28 pm

Slipped into the grand opening of a nearby BestBuy today and snatched up a Wii. So far I’ve checked out the sports disc and its quite cool. Boxing, Tennis, Bowling in that order. The golf was ok and I stunk up the field in with the baseball.

The controllers are quite cool and they look like they open quite the world of possibilities for the true game makers out there.

There is even a built in wifi card.

More later…

PSA- Gmail

Filed under: Life, Ramblings, Rants — Scott @ 8:53 am

For all those users of gmail:

If you ever forget your password there is only one way to regain access.
1) Push the forgot password link and have gmail send your secondary email address a reset password link

Now if you have that secondary email address set to say an old email address then google in there infinite wisdom decrees that after 5 days you can
1) Push the forgot password link and (this time) gmail will ask you one of your security questions

Still can’t get in. Google’s messages is polite but basically says TOO BAD!

For your own peace of mind I would check your secondary email address listed (on the security questions page)
and make sure you know your answers to the security questions.

This has been a Public Service Announcement.

Going just a wee bit green

Filed under: Ramblings — Meg @ 2:30 pm

While in the grocery store this week I decided to pick up some of the store’s reusable grocery bags.  The bags were only 99 cents and had nice long handles.  They’ve only had that one usage so far but they were nice and sturdy, easy to load (since they have a hard flat bottom) and easy to carry because of their long straps and more rigid shape.  I’ll update the post if they end up falling apart, but for 99 cents it was a good improvement over regular bags.  Now if I can just remember to have them with me next time I’m grocery shopping.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Filed under: Books, Ramblings — Meg @ 12:36 pm

Just finished the final Harry Potter book.  Without giving anything away I feel that it wrapped the story up well and was an enjoyable if dark read.  It feels like most of the action happened in the final 100 pages, so if it seems like a slow starter don’t give up, it gets better.  I’m not sure if the epilogue was really needed.  I’ll post more after Scott finishes it, probably later this week.
